Straight-Stacking
The opening panel-edge does not swing outward. Operation of this door could include:
- All Shoot Bolts (not accessible from the exterior)
- All Non-Keyed Twin Point Locks (not accessible from the exterior)
- Non-Keyed & Keyed Twin Point Locks (accessible from the exterior)
Bi-Parting
Both opening panel-edges glide along the track. Operation of this door could include:
- All Shoot Bolts (not accessible from the exterior)
- All Non-Keyed Twin Point Locks (not accessible from the exterior)
- Non-Keyed & Keyed Twin Point Locks (accessible from the exterior)
Bi-Parting (Outswing)
Both opening panel-edges swing outward. Operation of this door could include:
- Shoot Bolts & Terrace Door Handle (accessible from the exterior)
- Non-Keyed Twin Point Locks & Terrace Door Handle (accessible from the exterior)
All Loewen BiFold configurations can be exterior-accessible by using our keyed Twin Point Lock Handle or our Terrace Door handles.

Bi-Parting
One panel-edge will always swing outward, whereas the other will sit in the track. Operation of this door could include:
- Shoot Bolts & Terrace Door Handle (accessible from the exterior)
- Non-Keyed Twin Point Locks & Terrace Door Handle (accessible from the exterior)
The preparation of the rough opening for large openings such as those required by, but not limited to, LiftSlide, Bifold and MultiSlide doors have unique requirements. Structural headers that allow for deflection no greater than 1/8” along the unsupported length once the header is fully loaded are required. Special care needs to be taken when installing any unit including transoms above such large opening units. • Loewen is not responsible for site measurements or the determination of structural and architectural requirements for the installation of large opening products such as but not limited to, LiftSlide, Bifold and MultiSlide doors.
