The preparation of rough openings for large door systems, including but not limited to LiftSlide, BiFold, and MultiSlide doors, has unique requirements. Structural headers that allow for deflection no greater than 1/8″ over the unsupported span when fully loaded are required. Special care must be taken when installing any unit with transoms above large opening systems. Loewen is not responsible for site measurements or for determining the structural and architectural requirements associated with the installation of large opening products, including but not limited to LiftSlide, BiFold, and MultiSlide doors. Site-specific requirements and specifications are the responsibility of qualified building professionals or engineers.
